Huntington Fire Department trucks are photographed on Friday, Oct. 7, 2022, in Huntington.

HUNTINGTON Ƶ The Huntington City Council will convene Monday and consider a resolution to furnish the Huntington Fire Department with a new aerial tower fire truck.

The resolution allows the Huntington Fire Department to purchase the truck for $2,165,177, Huntington Fire Chief Greg Fuller said during an Administration and Finance Committee meeting June 24, during which the resolution was moved to full council with a favorable recommendation. The fire truck would be housed primarily at the Mayor Joseph L. Williams Jr. Fire Station, 1950 9th Ave., and serve the entire city, Fuller said.
